A path to happiness

Once upon a time, while my little bro Ian was off galavanting in the wilderness with his dream job, falling out of trees, and dislocating his shoulder* (see note below), he discovered his path to happiness.  

*For the record: I was mistaken in my last email about Ian falling out of a tree while hanging bear ropes doing his dream job. He actually dislocated his shoulder while still in the tree and then fell out while trying to climb down the tree with a dislocated shoulder. Either way, my brother is awesome.

Perhaps it was the fall out of the tree that knocked some sense into him, or maybe it was the wisdom of the wilderness known to those who quiet themselves amidst the mountains and the trees in contemplation of the timeless teachings within. However it happened, my brother emerged from the wilderness with a hope for happiness in his heart. 

Five years ago (or maybe even six), while studying at the University of Montana in Missoula, Ian was swept off his feet by a sweet Ms. Whitney Rose (or perhaps it was the other way around). She made an impression on his heart through their dating years that finally took seed while Ian was in the wilderness this past year.

To celebrate New Year's 2013, Ian and Whit hiked into the secret location of G****** hotsprings for a relaxing holiday dip. Amidst the hot pools and waterfalls cascading down the mountainside with a panoramic view of the picturesque big sky Montana landscape, my bro pulled out an elegantly bold black diamond ring...

Please join me in congratulating my brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law on their recent engagement.
